Yo-yo is considered as a toy than games. It is consist with two equal sized and weighted disks. It may make with plastics, wood, or even metal. The two disks on yo-yo are connected each other with an axle and string. In 1920s, yo-yo toy is become popular as the games or toy for children and adult. Some people believed that yo-yo came from China on 500 BC. The Greek believe yo-yo as an ancient toy. It made with wood, metal, and sometimes painted in terra cotta. This toy also distribute to Philippines.

In New York City, every August many younger contribute in Yo-yo contest. The World Yo-yo Contest also occurs and held at every year in Florida, America. There are many styles in playing Yo-yo, such as sleeping, looping, off-string, freehand, and many other contemporary and pop style of Yo-yo. There are also many different shapes of Yo-yo, for example Imperial, Modified, Satellite, Wing, and others.
