I think if the car was released sooner (at a higher angle) it would have been thrown a little farther.

Don’t worry about all the uninformed people crying “its called a trebuchet!” and especially people like ‘SaurOnurb’, who no nothing, because really, a Trebuchet is actually a type of catapult.
A catapult is any type of mechanical device used to throw projectiles. Trebuchets, Ballistas, Mangonels, Onagers and even sling shots, they’re all types of catapults.
There, got that off my chest. =]

oo lookie a new time of extreme ride for the kids! I believe I saw this clip on that TV show Scrapheap where they eventually got 2 teams to build some 2 catapults of this sort and launch some cars to see witch team’s machine is better
