DIY Pillows-Rx for Style ADD – Decor It Yourself

Do you ever get overwhelmed with how many beautiful things are out there? Do you want to be able to alter your home’s aesthetic with your mood or the season? A great solution for this is making your own pillows. This week we make petal pillows in a lush, feminine fabric and head over to see a New York nest with a view from the top.

i have to agree in a less angry way. it SHOULD be slowed down a bit so we can actually see differences and the changes

I wish it were easier to find all the Decor It Yourself episodes, it’d be the sweetest thing if you guys could have a big playlist on the Threadbangers page, or a seperate profile.

Yes yes make a video that would be cool. I think I could figure it out with some trial and error, but it is always super helpful to see a tutorial.

Ooooh, love the Rose idea for the pillow, how much fabric would I need if I want the whole pillow front to be a rose instead of having some of the other fabric show through?

I wish more time had been spent really showing us the NY Nest… The film was hard to follow, choppy, bouncy…I didn’t really know what I was looking at…or if I saw something I liked, the film jumped to something else before I could get a really good view or figure out how I could duplicate that look at home. Much more time was spent on the rooftop view. That’s something I can’t ever replicate…don’t waste my time, please. Show me info of value instead.

they should have cut the flower strip en bias so that it would look fuller just like the valentino stuff did

  24. chedarthehamster says:

u can make a pillow that has 2 dif side/colors on it ,like take 2 an old ts, and rip and sew in to a pillow with dif color (one t on 1 side the other on… the other side). i still have “decor add” but i dont have as many pillows!

p.s. sry if this post made no cents(lol).

Love this idea! I am from the East Village and I must say there are lots of thread heads out here. Thanks for all your excellent ideas and for taking the old stuff and sewing new life back into it.. We can save the earth and preserve some old traditions. You are all so inspiring and amazing! Keep up the good work!
