It is cheap only when you are doing it in a rigth way. There is a need also for generous rebates. Prices at today solar market globally for the solar panels are becoming very cheap compared to the past.

As an electrical contractor thinking about getting into solar, I am interested in your labor "installation hybred".

I am reminded of the old shop poster: $50 per hour, $60 per hour if you watch, $70 per hour if you help.

I think you learned a valuable lession seeing all that is involved in the process, and the costs associated with them.

Good video and great to see Americans turning to sustainable or renewable energy. It has benefits for the planet but ultimately when all the foreign oil runs out then at least those people who can generate their own electricity can keep the lights on when all about are losing their's.
However solar panels have to become much cheaper and a lot more efficient if everyone is to use them.

Good job. I assume that when it's time to replace to roof shingles that the whole unit has to come down first, then be reinstalled after a new roof is put on. And, did you experience any roof leak after the installation? Again, great job.

It's actually awesome. You can really save a lot of money, and a lot of pollution. I install them, and I've learned so much doing so.

Under $8,000 to meet this homeowners electric power needs from solar is certainly one of the least cost, environmentally beneficial implementations I have seen to date.

Congratulations on being a true patriotic American and doing something to reduce our dependency on foreign energy sources.
